Dr Janet Hall
Jan is an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and a registered clinical psychologist and a full member of the Australian Psychological Society & National Body. Dr Jan has used hypnosis extensively in her practice for over 23 years. She has been a member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis since 1983 and has been a tutor for training hypnotherapists and an invited lecturer for the Annual Conference of the Society.
She has used hypnotherapy to treat issues dealing with addiction, smoking, gambling, weight management, sleep, drugs, depression, anxiety, phobias, post-natal depression and sex.
Jan has developed an eclectic style of psychological practice based on over 25 years of study and practice which has included neuropsychology and ability assessment, cognitive-behaviour therapy, hypnotherapy, and humanistic psychology (including psychodrama and rebirthing).
Karen Cook
Karen is an experienced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Counsellor with 15 years in practice. She is a member of the Australian Association of Clinical Hypnotherapy Inc. and is a full member of the Council of Clinical Hypnotherapists of Australia.
Karen uses Hypnoanalysis, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and a blend of appropriate therapeutic techniques with: phobias, habits and compulsions; anxiety, depression and panic attacks; grief and loss; life transition/managing change; social and performance anxiety; smoking cessation; relationship issues; weight control; and pain management.
She is a certified Diabetes Motivational Coach (Diabetes Research Association of America) and Stress Management Specialist assisting clients with diabetes to reduce stress and blood sugar levels, and control their weight through the powerful process of hypnosis.
Karen is also an accredited Sleeptalk for Children Consultant (Joane Goulding Institute) and offers training in this valuable parenting program – giving parents a practical and powerful tool to build self-esteem and affect profound change in their children.
Jo-Anne Fleischer - BA (SocSci) (Mon), GradDipAppPsych (Mon), AssocMemberASH, MAPS
Jo is an experienced registered psychologist and clinical hypnotherapist. She is registered with Medicare and numerous private healthcare funds. She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society and an Associate Member of the Australian Society of Hypnosis.
Jo has used hypnotherapy extensively in her practice for the past few years. She has used it to help people deal with a range of issues including addiction (particularly smoking, drugs and alcohol), pain and weight management, sleep, anxiety and phobias as well as some more unusual issues. She has worked with a wide range of people with a broad variety of issues including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety and panic attacks, confidence, relationships, sex, self esteem, sleep and weight management issues.
Jo uses an eclectic collection of psychological tools that fall under the heading of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (as required by Medicare) and her approach is friendly, holistic, and non-judgemental, aiming to work with you to achieve overall, and particularly psychological, well-being.
Melinda Kennedy
Melinda is a fully registered Psychologist, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and member of both The Australian Psychological Society and Psychology Board of Australia. Melinda has achieved positive outcomes in her psychology work for over 17 years.
She favours Hypnotherapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (C.B.T.), Motivational Interviewing and Solutions Focussed Therapy to assist clients aiming to Cease Smoking, or overcome Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Weight Management, Phobias, Fears (such as public speaking), Sleeping Difficulties, Pain, Shyness, or Social Skills deficits. Intelligence Quota (I.Q.) testing with a results report is available to adolescents and adults. Workplace and personal mediation is also available, as is workplace training in stress management and positive communication.
Clients in Melinda's sessions grow to recognise and build on their skills, gaining a strong skillbase they can use on an ongoing basis.
